Why We Built This Site
Kentucky provides several public and consent-based access routes, yet no single system contains every Lee County record. Sheriff Joseph C. Lucas handles sheriff reports and warrant inquiries. Circuit Court Clerk Tyler Phillips keeps both District and Circuit case files, while Kentucky State Police maintains the central criminal-history repository. The Kentucky Department of Corrections and Kentucky Sex Offender Registry serve still different purposes. This site organizes the official contacts, search routes, published costs, and request instructions that help readers choose among them.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: where to reach the Lee County Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, and statewide record systems
- Record guides: ways to search and understand Lee County criminal court case records
- Expungement information: Kentucky procedures and the Lee County office where a qualifying filing begins
- Official check instructions: how Kentucky State Police name checks and authorized fingerprint checks differ
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Kentucky court, the Lee County Sheriff, Beattyville Police, or any state agency. Those boundaries mean:
- We cannot issue a certified court document, criminal record, or repository response
- We cannot submit an expungement petition, open-records request, or other filing for a visitor
- We cannot interpret a charge or case as legal advice
- We cannot perform an official background check or retrieve a record for someone
- We cannot promise that an agency's address, fee, telephone number, or procedure has not changed
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Lee County Sheriff, the Circuit Court Clerk, or Kentucky State Police. This site can identify the office, but it cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Third-party companies power search boxes found on some pages. Each provider controls its service, prices, and results. We may receive a referral fee if use of a tool leads to a paid subscription, which helps fund free access to this site. We do not set a partner's charges or determine the information returned.
