Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the query and supplies the response. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email sent to us as needed to answer it. The message remains within our organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure to someone else.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server automatically receives basic technical details about the visit:
- Page-view times and dates
- Your device's assigned IP address
- The referring site, when one is reported
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand traffic in aggregate, including popular pages and common exit points. You may block cookies through your browser, although doing so can change how some site functions behave.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not own, compile, retain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Our material identifies how to request Lee County records from the Lee County Sheriff, District and Circuit courts, Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles. Official Kentucky access is governed separately by the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, and criminal-history dissemination rules in KRS Chapter 17, including KRS 17.150.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner's privacy policy, retention period, and sharing rules govern information entered into its tool, and we do not control those choices. Read that policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Lee County government, Kentucky courts, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or third-party tools. Once you follow an external link, that operator's privacy policy controls the visit. Review it before providing personal details.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites for targeted advertising. Their systems, rather than ours, conduct that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to:
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order compels disclosure
- Advertising networks that serve ads on the pages
- Search providers that process a query you submit
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security measures are used to protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied data, we will delete it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights based on where you live. The Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, concerns records held by public agencies, while KRS Chapter 17 and KRS 17.150 address dissemination of certain criminal-history and investigative records. Those laws do not turn this private site into a government records custodian. At a minimum, you may:
- Request deletion of your data
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Opt out of certain processing activities
- Request a copy of information we hold about you
